A Reflection on Challenge
Even in the midst of our most challenging experiences, there is always a silent hope that drives us to continue on. This hope is a reminder that the challenges we face are preparing us for something much bigger than we realise.
Life will inherently bring pain and pain will challenge our virtues. However, it is within our heart to show courage and navigate the cards we have been drawn. We are often not responsible for the cards we have been drawn, but we are always responsible for how we respond. How we respond is the challenging part, because our natural instincts can push into behaviours that are detrimental to our future self.
In the midst of challenge, reflect on your pain, realise it’s impact on your life and develop creative methods to push on despite it. Remove it where possible, change your perception of it where possible and always commit to your chosen set of virtues, despite the pain you may face. Show patience, restraint, peace and a kind heart in whatever form that may take for you.
And always remember that this challenge and this pain is bringing you toward a better version on yourself, part of God’s much bigger plan.
