Staying Calm in the Storms of Adversity
“Be still, and know that I am God.” – Psalm 46:10
When adversity strikes, our natural response is often panic or frantic action. Yet true leadership emerges when we can find stillness amid chaos. This divine reminder teaches us that strength comes not from our own efforts, but from grounding ourselves in something greater than our circumstances.
Your Action: Take three deep breaths and spend two minutes in silence before responding to your next challenge.
What helps you find your center when everything around you feels out of control?
Always, Adam

This is excellent advice. As someone who struggles with anxiety, it’s very easy to let adversity freeze me in place and completely blank out. Taking those three grounding breaths and then an enforced two minutes of silence will definitely give me impetus to break the “freeze” and move forward. Thank you!
I’m glad you got so much out of this post, thanks for reading. Wishing you the best as you continue on your journey of growth! 👏
This is a great post. I did a 3-part blog post on this same scripture some years ago. If you find the time please stop by https://rhemalogy.com/2024/07/07/be-still-and-know/ Have a blessed week!
